The specs of this custom EDC ice pick are:
OAL: 195 mm OAL - Spike: 95 mm - 50 grams
Handle: hand sculpted wengue wood
Spike: 5 mm diameter nitriled H13 steel

Wenge wood was selected for the handle section. Wenge is a heavy and hard wood that is Very durable, rot and termite resistant and resistant. Difficult to work with, it is quite challenging to achieve the desired smooth finish.
The spike of the ice pick is made of H13, a hot work tool steel designed for applications that require extreme toughness. H13 will allow an extra margin of safety in tools subject to heavy hammer blows, and those containing deep recesses or sharp corners. The nitriding process applied to Bladetricks spikes ensures a tough and springy core combined with a very hard (+/- 70 HRC) surface hardness.
