We were asked to make an everyday carry (EDC) version of our Bladetricks Pry Knife. After some sketching and prototyping, we found a good piece of precision ground flat stock O1 tool steel:
The blade was then V-Ground, together with the pointy tip and the prying pommel at the end of the handle:
After heat treatment (accomplished in our workshop in a digitally controlled electric kiln), a heavy duty kydex sheath was made for tis little beast, the blade was sharpened (secondary bevel) and the handle was cord wrapped (550 paracord). This is the final result:
