The first Leuko-Machete was 5 mm thick, and we wanted to make it a bit thinner this time.
We generally set toughness before hardness as we consider knives tools.
Avoiding thin sections, unnecessary holes and other possible breaking points are key factors in the design process of our original blades in order to achieve the maximal toughness on our tools (knives, karambits, machetes, cleavers, tomahawks and other).
The final result is a 32,5 cm long, fast cutting beast made of 3 mm thick shock resistant 6150 spring steel:
After some heat treatment tests in our workshop we reached the desired hardness for our 6150 spring steel machetes (more models coming soon).
