The Bladetricks Pakal Reverse karambit is a very intuitive to use everyday carry knife.
In the reverse Grip knife fighting technique the knife is held upside down with the blade pointing downward and backward, or as we say at Bladetricks "tip down, edge in". The pakal or pikal knife fighting method uses the reverse grip. Similar to an animal’s claw, pakal movements are intended to pull in and tear/rip apart flesh and not to push it away.
At Bladetricks HQ we decided to go a bit forward with the reverse grip knife design:
- Following our obsession with simple tools, we tried to to keep the design of the knife as simple and functional as possible.
- A conventional curved cutting edge is more versatile and is also easier to sharpen.
- The pointy choil section of the blade is far from the user' s wrist, comes very sharp and is ideal for hooking / ripping techniques.
- The Bladetricks Pakal Reverse Karambit comes with serious penetrating tip in order to optimize its function in the reverse grip / pikal style.
- As its name states, the Pakal Reverse Karambit is a ringed knife, providing more safety and more control on the blade.
